10 Day Ultimate Camping Safari (10 days, 9 nights - ARS, TNP, Mto wa Mbu, Natron, SNP, NCA, Eyasi, LMNP)

Day 1: Arusha National Park

After breakfast you will make your way to Arusha National Park. Despite the small size of the park, you can find animals like the giraffe, cape buffalo, zebra, the black-and-white colobus monkey, flamingo, elephant and many other animals. Arusha National Park offers some of the most breath-taking scenery in Northern Tanzania, including Mount Meru, the second highest mountain in Tanzania.

In the morning you will be doing a game drive and after lunch a ranger will accompany you on your walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. At the end of the day your guide will bring you back to Arusha.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will make your way Tarangire National Park, the drive takes about two hours. Enjoy the beautiful views of the local villages and Masai herds on the way.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population. You can also find many zebras, wildebeest, giraffes and even lions and cheetahs. We will have lunch at the picnic site in the park and in the afternoon, we continue our game drive.

The landscape of Tarangire is punctuated by iconic baobab trees, their colossal trunks and gnarled branches standing as testaments to the passage of time. Capture the perfect photograph as the golden light of the African sunset casts a magical glow upon these ancient giants, creating a scene straight out of a dream.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Today we embark on a more active safari and experience the local culture. We start early in the morning with a short hike on the Great Rift Valley wall. Make sure you wear good hiking shoes; the walk will be a bit steep and rocky.

Once you are on top you will enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Lake Manyara and Mto Wa Mbu. After a few minutes rest we will walk down to the place where the bikes are waiting for us. The bike tour will take you through the village, you pass by local craft shops, and you will have lunch between the banana plantations.

Day 4: Lake Natron

Lake Natron is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Tanzania. Prepare to be mesmerized by the untouched landscapes, dramatic scenery, and unique wildlife that call this remote region home. Step into a world where time seems to stand still, and nature reveals its raw, untouched beauty.

After breakfast we head towards the magnificent Serengeti. After breakfast we will descend into the crater for a morning game drive with picnic lunch. In the afternoon we drive to Lake Eyasi campsite where you'll be staying for the night. Lake Eyasi is a shimmering soda lake nestled amidst the sprawling savannah.

Take in the panoramic views of the lake and its surrounding escarpments, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for your adventures. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, who have called this region home for centuries.

After breakfast we will head to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake, and its flamingos. During the game drive you will be taken to a picturesque picnic site to enjoy your lunch.

In addition, you can book a walking safari and enjoy the park on foot with a park ranger. An amazing experience to see the animals up close! After our afternoon game drive, it’s time to head back to Arusha

Day 1: Arusha

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will set off from Arusha and make your way through beautiful tribal areas enroute to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch boxes and enjoy a game drive. With exception of Serengeti, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania.

In the dry season the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife. The river of the park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, of course, elephants.

This is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk are regularly spotted. Tarangire is particularly known for its spectacular baobab trees, and its breathtaking views of the Maasai Steppe and the mountains to the south.

Day 3: Lake Manyara - Ndutu

After breakfast, make your way towards Lake Manyara National Park, a narrow strip of land sandwiched between the towering cliffs of the Gregory Rift Valley and the lake itself. Although small in dimension the park has breathtaking scenery and famous for its "tree climbing" lions and growing population of baboons and blue monkeys.

The park also has fantastic bird life; thousands of flamingos line the shores of the lake at certain times of year. Explore the different areas of the park and enjoy midafternoon game drives en route out of the park stopping at Mto wa Mbu, a culturally vibrant town, for a market visit along the way.

You will then head towards the Ndutu Plains of the Southern Serengeti. The driving itself is spectacular. You will drive up the crater highlands, making a quick stop at the rim for an out of this world view of Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 4: Ndutu

The area has high densities of cheetahs and lions particularly when the wildebeest inhabit these plains from December to March. There are two beautiful sodic lakes in the vicinity. Being in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) you will be able to drive off road - a great advantage for getting close to Africa's large mammals.

This area is also the traditional birthing ground for the wildebeest, which are attracted to the area by the high concentrations of phosphorus in the soil, an essential mineral for lactating mothers. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Ndutu, characterized by expansive grasslands, acacia woodlands, and seasonal marshes.

The scenery changes with the seasons, offering a constantly evolving canvas of colors and textures. Ndutu also serves as a crucial watering hole during the Great Migration, a spectacle that sees vast herds of wildebeests and zebras journeying across the plains in search of fresh grazing lands. Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On this day we suggest a very early wake up to do an early morning game drive in Ndutu when the animals are more active and marvel at one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. It's really one of the most beautiful experiences to encounter.

After the game drive, we return to the camp for a delicious lunch and then we'll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Lake Eyasi

After an early breakfast you will be one of the first vehicles descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for superb game viewing with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural enclosure supporting over 30,000 animals at any one time making it virtually Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa.

The Crater is considered one of the natural wonders of the world and has the highest densities of predators in Africa such as lions, hyenas and leopards. It is also one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino. In the late afternoon, slowly begin the climb out of the crater and head toward Lake Eyasi.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi

Just before sunrise, you will embark on an early morning drive to visit the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true nomadic tribes in Africa. This trip to Lake Eyasi promises a truly immersive experience, combining cultural exploration with the breathtaking natural landscapes. After some explanations about the tribe, you will join them in their daily morning activities.

This experience is off the beaten track and does not feel touristic by any means. The activities with the tribe can either be joining the men in their daily hunting, or the women in their fruit gathering session. In either of them, you will learn about many aspects of the Hadzabe way of living. After finishing the activities with the tribe, we will visit the beautiful Lake Eyasi, a season shallow Salt Lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
